These are very good plan B’s, Eileen. It’s also good that your habit is split in two sets from the get-go since you’ll most likely get to do half of it regardless of the circumstances. I do hope you keep this up and turn your walking routine into a permanent habit.

Coaches are great for accountability since it’s their job to ensure that you are at your best in the sport/activity he is coaching you on. It’s a good idea to let him in on your progress with the habit challenge so that he can help you maximize your exercise routine to help you improve your performance.

Welcome to the Habit Challenge, Lucienne! There may be participants in the forums that can help you with how to sew. That being said, the Habit Challenge Course will help you make sewing a habit. Good luck and I look forward to hearing more from you!

Hey, Lucy. Glad to see that you are willing to invest in keeping up with your habit. You can view these costs as an investment that you want to make the most of when doing your habit. It’ll be easier to form a habit when you know that you’ll waste your hard earned money if you do otherwise.

It’s good that you have a thought out plan B for your habits. 🙂 I would also suggest adding an extra If-Then line for vacations or time where you’re not going to be living in the same room where you study for a while.

it’s always a good idea to have someone keep you accountable. Your spouse is the perfect partner for these kinds of activities. Just make sure that you both are strict with each other and not lenient. If your accountability partner uses kid gloves and goes easy on you, then he/she might not be of much help in forming your habits in the long run.

Those are great plan Bs for your habits, Brian! 🙂 Make sure that your planned exceptions are just one-off events. If they happen too often, then you need to plan your day around them. If you get called to your family business in the afternoons often, you may need to schedule your practice away from the afternoons. If possible, you can try to do part of your chores in the morning and part of it after lunch so that you can practice playing the guitar before lunch.

These reference videos are always handy because they eliminate a lot of the decision making that you have to do when getting started. 🙂 I do recommend changing routines regularly so that you don’t get bored.

It’s great that you’ve taken great lengths to make your walking routine convenient. In the next parts of the habit challenge, you will learn how to create plan Bs for your habits so that even if things really are not in your favour, you can still do your habit. You’ll also learn to make specific exceptions so that you won’t pressure yourself into doing your habit in times when you shouldn’t force yourself.

Hey, Tyrone. It’s good that your father is holding you accountable. Is he also well-versed in programming? If yes, then it’s a good idea to set aside time during the weekends to talk to him about your progress.

Hey, Brian. Apprising family members of your progress is a good start. You can also post your progress on social media so that people will know you’ve been practising even if they aren’t monitoring you. I think you’ll see that some of your friends will be proud of you for sticking to your habits. 🙂

In 3 digit squaring if the number ends in 5 the last digits of the answer will be 25.

    The principle is the same.

For example let us take 235 x 235
Round up and down to get 240 x 230.
    Drop the 0s and do the multiplication of 24 x 23 = 552
Then attach 25 to the answer to get 55,225

    Hope this helps

I think it’s great that you invested in making sure that you don’t get interrupted while practising. It’s also good that you let your family know your schedule so that they can take your practice time into account. If you haven’t already, let them in on your progress with the habit challenge so that they can support you in building habits.

It’s definitely a good idea to turn off your internet connection so that you don’t get distracted while working. If your phone has mobile internet, it’s also a good idea to keep it away from you until you are done with your habit.
